Twelve graduates of the Tourism course | The Transcontinental

PORT Augusta residents learn through Regional Development Australia, the state government and TAFE SA.

Twelve people recently obtained a Certificate III in tourism as part of the Skills for Jobs in Regions project.

Course mentor Jodie Boully said the educational results were fantastic, with a 90 percent pass rate.

Students were coached on task and time management and were professionally and personally developed to be “ready for use”.

Ms Boully said this included engagement with industry as well as workplace visits.

“It is without a doubt a skill that will be of great benefit to our local tourism industry.”
